Featured Succulent! Faucaria ‘Jaws’
Our featured succulent this month is the Faucaria ‘Jaws’. It is a small succulent that is clump forming. It reaches up to 6″ tall. The leaves are thick, triangular, light green (turning purplish in strong sunshine) in color up to 2″ long. On the edges of the leaves there are upright soft, white teeth in opposite pairs that look like an animals mouth. The flowers are large, up to 2″ in diameter and yellow in color. The faucaria is mostly a spring and fall grower. They need good drainage but with a little shade they will do just fine even in extreme heat.
